The Highlands is Louisville's neighborhood for nights out and house parties: bar patios, festival activations, and every spring a lot of backyard and driveway Derby tents. Events here are smaller and looser than a convention, and a station that makes favors during the party suits them better than a full press line.
Power is the part to plan. Older Highlands houses rarely have spare 20-amp circuits, and every heat press wants one of its own, so a backyard tent usually means a generator unless an electrician says otherwise. Bar patios are easier, as long as our circuits aren't shared with the kitchen. Everything ships freight from Fullerton and the crew arrives a day early to test before guests show up.
Party-sized stations
- Live hat bar: the Derby-party pick, since a dressed-up guest takes a cap before a tee.
- Live DTF: a custom shirt with a name or the party's date on it.
- Live screen printing: one design for a bar crawl or a festival crowd, printed fast.
- Promo & hard goods: totes and drinkware as favors.
Planning something that spans town? We also cover Downtown & Convention Center, NuLu (East Market), Whiskey Row, Old Louisville, and the rest of Louisville.
For a backyard tent: a level 10×10 ft pad under solid cover, a generator or two dedicated circuits, and cord runs kept off wet grass.
